Summer has walked many paths to get to the place of belonging and expression she is now, doing the work she loves. Through her vast life adventures and experiences she has learned how to guide and support rites of passage, from birth to beyond. She is profoundly excited and honored to guide and mentor young girls crossing the threshold between girlhood and adolescence, envisioning a world where intact culture supports and nurtures all stages of thriving life. She believes that young women deserve honor, respect, and dignity through this rite of passage into adolescence and adulthood. She is committed to weaving a web of connection, belonging, and expression through this developmental stage.

Along with being a certified girls group facilitator, she is a mother to two wild and beautiful children, a council holder, community tender, birth keeper, and creative. She loves to weave magic, ceremony, and beauty into all of life by writing, cooking, dancing, reading, being outside, spending time with those she loves, and traveling.

She is a student of Johannah Reimer of Wakeful Nature, and a colleague of Erin O’Neil of Growing Home & Soul Skills Summer Camp, as well as a grateful student of many visionaries & leaders throughout her lifetime.

For the Children
By Gary Syner
The rising hills, the slopes,
of statistics
lie before us.
the steep climb
of everything, going up,
up, as we all
go down.

In the next century or the one beyond that, they say, are valleys, pastures, we can meet there in peace if we make it.
To climb these coming crests
one word to you, to
you and your children:

stay together
learn the flowers
go light
