My name is Summer Steele and I am a mother to two young and wild children, a partner to my beloved husband, and a devoted village auntie.

I have walked many life paths, always drawn to the thresholds of life and how through supporting these pivotal moments we can become whole, healthy, and alive beings.

In my late teens and early twenties I traveled throughout much of Central and South America, learning mostly from women and children. My own early experience of feminine wounding found love and wisdom from these healthy sisterhoods. I began to really unravel and heal my inner child and adolescent - and in doing so, discovered how the impressions I created about myself, my body, and my spirit during puberty was imprinted into my adult self.

Later through my work as a birth doula I began to witness other women working with their own pubescent wounding in their pathway to motherhood. I saw how their preteen/teen years had profound impact on their lives, even as now mothers.

I have felt the impulse to work with pre teen & teen girls for years, but after the birth of my own daughter, I began to feel the urgency to build the structure for girls becoming in my own community.

Through divinely orchestrated colleagueship and mentorship, I found the women and work I was longing to bring into this world, and launched my first Girls Group in Santa Fe in the fall of 2025. Now the web is growing and it is the kind of heart and soul work that nourishes myself, my family, and my community, and ripples beyond.

I am profoundly honored to guide and mentor young girls crossing the threshold between girlhood and adolescence. I feel this particular threshold is one of immense importance and impact on the rest of a young woman's life. In the wise words of one of my mentors, Melissa Michaels, "Even under the best of circumstances, navigating out of the ideally safe waters of childhood, into the potentially turbulent waters of adolescence, into creative and productive adulthood is not easy. By nature, it is a rigorous journey. With all of the challenges touched upon above, it is miraculous each time one person makes it home to herself and her place in the fabric of her community." We might be asking for miracles, but we do so, not alone.
